Dubai’s software house is a daughter company of American giant Earthlink. Creative Advance Technology includes 12 sisters companies working in: fintech payment solutions, e-commerce, e-government, web development. Our special project SMB is new in the world with new technologies like Kubeedge. The scale of the project is large and very international.
Responsibilities
- Review, understand, interpret and transform clearly defined technical specifications into data warehouse, database and/or business intelligence solutions
- Ability to perform detailed data analysis (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples)
- Ability to perform problem analysis, structured analysis, design and programming techniques
- Use of Data Modeling, Database Query Optimization and Data Access techniques and concepts
- Database knowledge in areas of import and export, users, roles, privileges, schema and object management, session monitoring, etc.
- Code, maintain, test and provide code reviews for developed processes and procedures (e.g. queries, scripts, stored procedures, database objects, indices, triggers, etc.)
- Managing database design, document and diagram logical database structure o Designing data architectures to minimize duplication of data and maximize data consistency
- Managing multiple environments (Development/Demo/Production)
- Coordinating and applying modifications to the database with project management and development staff
- Define and implement data transfer and data conversion strategies
- Strong understanding of concepts and techniques for design, development and implementation of ETL and data quality
Must have
- 5+ years of experience running and deploying database operations at scale with RDBMS, including MariaDB, Db2 Express-C, SQLite, PostgreSQL, SQL Server Express, MySQL
- 5+ years of experience running and deploying database operations at scale with nonrelational databases, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, and Neo4j
- The ideal candidate for this role would be able to support the development team with designing, implementing, and maintaining various types of data solutions
- Excellent understanding of database design principles, understand and build database schemes, be knowledgeable at maintaining and optimizing databases, and proactively identifying and troubleshooting issues
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Experience writing and using RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of JIRA, GIT, BitBucket, Confluence
- Able to learn quickly and easily adapt to a wide variety of programming challenges
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organized time management skills
