Android Developer

Currently, Altimetrik's team is focused on developing new mobile products from scratch for both platforms natively (iOS & Android). For a client in the US who is a leader in the financial industry specializing in all kinds of loans, credits and mortgages.
The product will aggregate the client's currently existing services into an all-in-one mobile app so that the user will have everything at their fingertips.

Who You Are
A strong, self-driven Native Android Mobile app developer (Kotlin) who can develop mobile apps from scratch. You collaborate with top-talent designers and developers while working with the latest technologies. You also collaborate with other engineers in architecture, design and modern engineering practices.


Your role in the project:

A critical part of not just the technology team but to the organization as an excellent mobile app solution provider. 
Working with product teams to build new and innovative mobile apps for Android and/or iOS
Implementing custom native user interfaces using the latest Android and/or iOS programming techniques Build reusable software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms
Analyzing and optimizing UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance Minimally 80% of your time will be spent hands-on coding - more is better. 

If you have:

● Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
● 6+ years of experience in mobile app development (Kotlin-Android Native Dev) with testing, and launching software products
● 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
● Able to create any sort of mobile app from scratch
● Experience/Familiarity with the following technologies:
RESTful APIs and mobile libraries
Multithreading programming and Mobile Memory Management
Server-side languages such as Python, Java, and/or PHP
Database technology such as MongoDB and/or Dynamo DB
●       Excellent verbal and written communication skills
●       Good problem-solving skills & attention to detail
● Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
● Strong desire to learn new techniques and technologies
● Good to have:
Finance/online Payments Domain Knowledge
Knowledge of Mortgage Domain
