About the role
Lead Product Engineers provide technical leadership in end-to-end delivery of major product features, providing status transparency, high quality outcomes, and feature completeness. You'll be a technical leader for a couple of Software Engineering teams that focus on specific business value delivery. As a Lead Product Engineer, you'll make sure that all actions required to deliver product value and increments take place properly, and you'll聽take action on feedback gathered after delivery.聽You'll coordinate cross-team dependencies and team alignment, and you'll drive decision making required to deliver the feature. You'll be a bridge between all parties involved, especially other Lead Product Engineers, Product Managers, Product Architects, Software Engineers, Product Owners, Program Managers, and聽Development Directors.
We are fully remote until Covid-19 pandemic is declared over and it is safe to socialize. In the Post-Covid-19 reality we offer hybrid model, a fusion of remote聽and at-the-office聽work.
You鈥檒l be responsible for:
- Gradually聽(with聽a聽ramp-up聽phase聽of 6 to 12聽months)聽taking聽on聽the聽responsibilities聽of a聽Lead聽Product聽Engineer聽(LPE),聽where聽you'll聽focus聽on聽engineering,聽value聽creation,聽and聽product聽 delivery.
- Bringing聽different聽engineering聽teams聽and聽stakeholders聽together聽to聽create聽the聽best聽possible聽 Dynatrace聽experience聽for聽our聽customers聽(use-case聽focus).
- Driving聽technology聽decisions聽and聽being聽responsible聽for聽end-to-end聽delivery聽and聽high-quality聽outcome.
- Forming聽internal聽project聽teams聽and聽coordinating聽cross-team聽activity聽to聽enhance聽value聽creation.
- Making聽sure聽that聽the聽teams聽are聽aligned聽with聽our聽roadmap聽and聽that聽they聽focus聽on聽their聽charter.
- Ensuring聽that聽feedback聽and聽release聽cycles聽happen聽continuously聽and聽new聽findings聽are聽taken聽into聽 consideration.聽
- Identifying聽the聽need聽for engineering聽power聽and聽finding聽solutions聽with聽our聽Development leadership.
Desired skills & experience:
- Deep聽experience聽in software development as聽Senior聽or聽Principal Software聽Engineer.聽
- Hands-on experience with Java.
- Several聽years聽of聽leadership聽experience聽(either聽technical聽leadership聽or聽team聽leadership)聽on positions like聽Product聽Owner,聽Team聽Lead,聽Department聽Lead,聽or聽similar聽positions in聽an聽agile聽IT/software environment.
- Experience in Agile software development聽lifecycle.
- Excellent聽communication聽skills鈥攜ou聽are聽able聽to聽get聽different聽stakeholders聽(Product Management,聽Product聽Owners, Product聽Architects, and others) on the same聽page聽and聽align聽people聽and聽strategy.聽
- Team聽player skills聽with聽a聽passion聽for聽leading聽through聽coaching and mentoring.聽聽
