On behalf of the client, we’re looking for a Fullstack Developer with React to help us build the future of lifelong learning. Someone who would welcome the opportunity to step into a Chief Technology Officer or Chief Product Officer role in a scaling startup. The company owns a marketplace that turns books into virtual book clubs and companion courses for developing personal and professional skills.
Founded by an author, health scientist, and lifelong entrepreneur, they are on a mission to create the world’s best experience for translating wisdom into a shared daily practice capable of transforming how we approach ourselves and one another.
Requirements
A full-stack generalist with 3+ years experience building web and mobile applications (ideally with Node.js and React)
Broad DevOps understanding with previous experience (ideally AWS)
Experience from a product company or a startup environment, ideally as a tech lead
Experienced at writing clean, scalable code with significant experience in one or more scripting languages
Strong English communication skills, min B2 (ideally C1)
Must have recent hands-on experience in technology, not just managerial
Up to date with recent technological changes
Extra points/pluses
You have international experience in working with teams from other countries, ideally at least one of: US, Germany, UK, Scandinavia, Singapore, Israel
Previous experience with working on a public-facing technology product

Responsibilities
You will be a pivotal member of the product development team. Not only will you be working on the entire technical stack ranging from server & network infrastructure all the way to user interfacing clients like web pages & mobile applications, but you will also be required to have a product-first mentality, creating a best-in-class experience for users on our platform. This will require critical thinking, extreme ownership, stellar communication, intense curiosity, and ability to self-start
Provide technical leadership to drive pragmatic, deeply impactful architectural decisions in both backend and frontend infrastructures to address both current and future needs
Lead the ideation and execution of product changes that drive growth, partnering with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Content Strategy and Data Science
Mentoring teams of senior and intermediate engineerings across Front-End, Back-End, mobile and DevOps
Creating a best-in-class experience for users on our platform
Working on the entire technical stack ranging
