About the project:
HARMAN OTA enables automakers and Tier-1 suppliers to adapt to an evolving market landscape by securely managing all in-vehicle software components, including firmware, applications, configurations, settings and maps on head units, TCUs (Telematics Control Units) and ECUs (Electronic Control Units); anywhere and at any time – whether on the production line, at dealer lots or on car owners’ driveways. Trusted by more than 40 global vehicle manufacturers and already deployed on 38 million vehicles, the solution is comprised of both backend server components that can either be installed on the customer’s IT premise or hosted by HARMAN, and device side client software components that are installed by the device (TCU/HU/ECU) manufacturer.
In this role, Senior Software Engineer (Java) will work as part R&D group developing internal HARMAN product. As a team member will be responsible for designing, implementing and integrating of the system components together with tech team leader, developers and quality assurance team.
What You Will Do :
· Design the software components
· Implement the high-quality object oriented code
· Integrate the system components
· Create software components that can be tested
· Provide inputs to the architecture
What You Need :
· Min. 5 years of experience in designing, implementation and integration of Java EE server components
· Knowledge and experience in using: Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Junit/TestNG, Cucumber
· Hands-on experience with tools like Maven, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, ActiveMQ
· Experience in working with both: relational (Oracle, Po and NoSQL databases
· Experience with microservices and messaging
· Experience in working in Linux environment
· Experience in working in Scrum/Kanban methodologies
· English language skills allowing for smooth communication in a multinational environment
