We are looking for a Linux Admin/Support Engineer for a 6-months contract (will be extended) in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The Job:
- Respond to
support requests from users and their organizations.
- Create and
maintain documentation for the Linux Client.
- Perform root
cause analyses (RCAs) and drive long-term solutions.
- Highlight
problematic areas to the team for long-term improvement.
Must-haves:
- Management of
Linux systems, preferably Debian derived.
- Involvement in
open source projects in the past is a plus.
- Experience from
global IT organizations and adherence to policies.
- Some Ansible
knowledge would be beneficial, but not a requirement.
Skills you bring along:
- Fluent in
English, both verbally and in writing.
- Good
communication skills; the ability to convey ideas in written form and the
capability to share those ideas in a clear, concise manner.
- Good
collaboration and relational skills; comfortable working with other skilled
professionals in project teams towards common goals.
- An
understanding of the makeup of a modern GNU/Linux distribution, Debian or
Ubuntu preferred.
- A clear understanding of common script languages, such as bash.
