We're looking for Mid Python Engineers for a Canadian company dealing with newspapers and journalism! They are currently looking for people to join their sub-company which is a 50 person startup, with a suite of automation and optimization tools designed to help modern publishers gain deeper insight into what their audiences need, make smarter decisions with their resources, and get the most value out of their content.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of commercial experience in Python
- Knowledge of the principles of writing clean code and coding best practices
- 1+ years of experience with AWS and deploying AWS Serverless technologies
- Proficiency with CI, unit, and integration testing
- Education or experience in Operations Research (Packing Optimization)
- Upper-Intermediate written and spoken English (B2 level)
Nice to have:
- Proficiency in Swedish or Norwegian language
- Rust
Responsibilities:
- Work Collaboratively with senior engineers and other teammates to maintain the product and develop new features
- Use good programming practices when writing clean code
- Provide technical support to external clients and join feedback sessions
- Integrate with Adobe Indesign, external CMS clients, and internal APIs
- After fully on-boarded, attend calls with new customers - to help understand evolving needs for new product features we may develop
- System monitoring, development phases documentation, and error report generation
