The Software Quality Engineer is a聽pivotal role in the organization ensuring the highest quality of software delivery in the travel industry. Our product is a聽highly complex, challenging, and dynamic area, the cornerstone of all travel bookings for airfare. Test automation is our main goal. Knowledge of XML, JSON testing as well scripting in Python or Java is a聽plus. The candidate must demonstrate testing acumen, troubleshooting abilities, and a聽strong desire to聽understand how systems work. The QA team ensures a聽high-quality customer experience through the systematic use of agile testing practices.
You will
- Design, create, execute, and maintain automated tests
- Document detailed steps to聽reproduce a聽defect
- Analyze test results to聽ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action
- Consult with development engineers and business analysts to聽resolve problems
- Design, code, and execute of automated test scripts
- Attend status meetings and provide oral and written reports regarding work progress
- Maintain automated scripts
- Take part in researching best practices, new tools, and technology
Must have
- 4+ years experience in Quality Assurance testing, writing and executing test plans
- Scripting experience including Python, JAVA, or Shell
- Experience with testing in Agile/ Iterative Development
- Experience in working with XML, JSON
- Unix at a聽user level
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to聽handle multiple tasks/subprojects simultaneously, organization skills
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools such as Jira
Nice to have
- Knowledge of testing domain
- Experience in working with global, distributed teams
- Experience in backend system testing
- Knowledge of GIT (or another version control tool)
- Good English communication skills, written and verbal
