Java Software Engineer - Revenue Optimizer (Senior/Lead/Principal)
Revenue Optimizer is used by airlines to determine the optimal price of selling a seat at any given point in time. It is a new product that helps our customers increase their revenue by keeping their airplanes full and, at the same time, getting as many dollars from each sold seat as possible. To achieve this, we use advanced Revenue Management algorithms and Machine Learning together with a very modern and innovative user interface.
We are now looking for a motivated individual to join our team as Principal Software Architect to work with:
- Passionate and innovative Team
- New product being intensively developed and enhanced
- Java 11, Groovy, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Spock
- MongoDB, ELK
- AI/ML, H2O, Apache Spark, AWS EMR
- Application developed and hosted in AWS
Responsibilities:
- Leading teams technically to deliver against product development plans, being enabled by a strong understanding of system architecture, software architecture, software platforms and the underlying technologies
- Driving alignment of architecture and designs with specifications of the product by leveraging best practices and deploying efficient technologies
- Developing architectural roadmap and ensuring the product aligns with the business, clients and stakeholders strategies and requirement
- Ensuring that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints and industry standards
- Collaborating with other solutions/systems teams across multiple geographical locations
- Understanding customers' needs and translating them into technical solutions
- Participating in development of highly complex parts of the Revenue Optimizer solutions
- Staying on track with latest technologies for the domain and applying the experience and knowledge on architecture to improve the product features
- Mentoring and coaching technical leads and developers in enhancing their technical competencies
Job Requirements

- Excellent programming skills with 10+ years of professional experience in Java Development
- 5+ years of experience as architect or in leading software development teams
- Proven analytical and problem solving, architecture and design skills
- Practical knowledge of Java related technologies and frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Drools
- Good understanding of technologies and best practices to work with Big Data
- Practical knowledge of cloud technologies and applications containerization
- Great communication skills enabling efficient collaboration with all stakeholders, extended teams and customers
- Willingness to continuously develop and learn
- Being proactive and committed to getting things done
- Positive attitude and motivated by constant improvement
- Very good written and verbal skills in English
