We聽are looking for a聽technical and operational leader with a聽passion for microservices, distributed systems, cloud service development, deployment, and delivery.
You will
- Be a聽visible hands-on leader to聽drive the design of some of complex software systems
- Envision long-term architectural strategy, with emphasis on platforms/reusable components
- Architect, design and implement new components and sub-systems
- Spend some time actively developing parts of the system
- Ensure code review healthiness
- Control technical debt
- Review design of the existing systems and propose improvements
- Deliver technical training within the engineering organization, including training new engineers
- Work with product management, business stakeholders, and other engineering leaders to聽help define mid-term, long-term roadmaps, and shape business directions
- Diagnose system failures and problems in production and works with the technical staff to聽identify root causes and address them
- Demonstrate broad knowledge of technical solutions
- Set directional paths for the teams/department for adoption of new technology stacks for solving business problems
Must have
- Fully proficient with聽Java聽programming language and various Java EE technologies
- Thorough knowledge and experience with聽Spring, Hibernate and web services聽is a聽must
- Demonstrated knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design
- Knowledge of REST
- Experience in XML/Web Services technologies
- Understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL)
- Understanding of No-SQL databases (MongoDB)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal
- Experience with build tools Ant/Maven/Gradle
- Understanding of聽TDD practices聽and experience with JUnit/Unit Testing
- Strong experience building and running large scale, highly available systems handling high volume of sessions/transactions per day
- Leadership聽skills
