The project and the team
Our client is a Stealth Startup, SaaS platform for creating/managing MLOps pipelines used for validating given hypotheses and steering base application flows in a feedback loop. The product aims at enriching the base application's functionality for customers from different industries. Therefore, apart from the core functionality, the tool also assumes integrations with third-party tools and APIs. Our project is supposed to handle large amounts of information and act instantaneously on their base, so big data handling is our bread and butter.
What else you should know:
- The team consists of less than 15 people including an architect, project manager, ML developers, and multi-tech and multi-language engineers familiar with numerous APIs, data structuring and processing techniques, who present output in multiple ways depending on the business need
- We use SCRUM/ Agile methodology
- Our tech stack for the project includes: GCP infra, Kafka, Spark, Hadoop; relational and non-relational databases, integration code pieces written in Java, Python, C++, Javascript, SQL
- The client is based in the US
We work on multiple interesting projects at the time, so it may happen that we’ll invite you to the interview for another project, if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.
Your role
As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and planning tests for the new features
- Maintaining and improving a fully automated CI/CD test solution
- Automating test cases
- Taking part in technical design discussions
- Participating in manual testing
- Delivering automatic tests for your code
- Designing and automating a new environment configuration to extend our testbed capabilities
- Validating the solution with the client (demo)
- Fixing discovered bugs efficiently and effectively
- Working in agile methodology and collaborating with a team
Do we have a match?
As a QA Engineer you must meet the following criteria:
- Understanding of the test process and its role in the software development life cycle
- Knowledge of Java
- Experience in tests frameworks
- Ability to independently configure test environments and conduct test exercises in a creative way with a mindset for testing
- Good abilities in writing unit/functional/regression tests
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes
- Knowledge of GCP
- Basic understanding of virtualization technologies with emphasis on Kubernetes, Docker
- Knowledge of Git
- Knowledge of Linux
- Good communication skills, English (B2 level), ability to confront technical solutions with the team and the customer’s technical representatives to validate the solution with the client
