The project and the team
The project involves building an Event Booking System for our client - a multiservice utility provider based in London, England. Our client provides its customers with landline & mobile telephony, broadband, gas, and electricity. The system you will be building is based on Event Sourcing pattern and consists of multiple distributed micro services written in golang with the frontend in React.
What else you should know:
- The team consists of an architect, project manager, UX designer, back-end engineers.
- We use Agile methodology and DevOps culture
- Our tech stack for the project includes: Go, Kafka, GraphQL, CockroachDB, React, AWS
- The client is based in the UK
We work on multiple interesting projects at a time, so we may invite you to an interview for a different project, if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.

Your role
As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:
- React web development (both class and functional components)
- Implementing the frontend of the Event Booking System
- Maintaining the quality of the application by fixing bugs
- Writing unit tests
- Communicating with the developers and cooperating with them聽
Do we have a match?
As a Frontend Engineer you must meet the following criteria:
- Significant experience with React (both class and functional components) and Material UI
- Very good knowledge of JavaScript
- Good knowledge and understanding of one-way data flow architectures (Flux, Redux etc.)
- Good knowledge of at least one unit test tool (ie. Jest, Enzyme)
- Experience in developing UI using CSS frameworks (Sass, Less, CSS Modules)
- At least a basic knowledge of Linux
- Experience with backend APIs (the type of API will be decided by the team)
- Good knowledge of English (B2 level)聽
Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:
- Knowledge of (public) clouds
- Experience with CI/CD approach聽
