We are coming with a job offer to a company that is developing software for technological giants like IBM, Bosch, Comcast and even Microsoft. We’re looking for an Application Security Engineer for a company focused on code security. Providing applications that verify code, look for possible vulnerabilities that can be exploited and suggests ad hoc solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in application security or security research, including the understanding of application security attacks, vulnerabilities and mitigations
- Understanding of Java
- Ability to read multiple programming languages' source code and identify vulnerable parts
- Knowledge of common Web Application security vulnerabilities (OWASP TOP10, SANS 25, etc.)
- Experience with static code analysis
- Fluency in English (B2 minimum)
Nice to have
- Understanding of a programming language other than Java.
- BSc or BA in Computer Science or a similar degree.
- Knowledge of PERL scripting languages or the desire to acquire this experience.
- Regular Expressions knowledge, or the desire to acquire experience with RegEx.
Responsibilities
- Performing security source code analysis
- Analyzing application vulnerabilities and providing mitigation strategies
- Researching and designing scanning rules while working closely with the development team
- Cooperating with vendors in the community to uncover and fix flaws in software projects
- Developing and improving Mend programs for various programming languages
