ProjectThe team works across the airline crewing industry domain providing a real-time system for planning, scheduling, tracking, and disruption recovery for thousands of crew members. It ensures that crews are legal, experienced, and have enough rest to safely conduct a flight. It solves complex optimization problems to bring the crew back on track after major schedule changes – like volcanos, hurricanes, etc. This position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to work with a variety of people at all levels of management across the enterprise. Candidates without long commercial experience and sharp minds are welcome. The candidate must demonstrate very strong problem-solving and time-management skills willing to help our customers across the world.
You will
- Build out pipelines, write custom code, interface with data stores, perform data ingestion, and build data models.
- Good knowledge of REST APIs and SQL query language to fetch data from Elasticsearch indices
- Excellent knowledge in configuring ELK stack components to collect & store the data
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Elasticsearch, plan for backup and recovery of the indices, allocate system storage, and plan future storage needs
- Experience upgrading Elasticsearch versions and patch management
- Expert knowledge in Java, memory management, fine-tuning, etc.
- Elastic Stack cluster architecture, design, and deployment
- Create Kibana visualizations and dashboards to build KPIs and data insight for data analysis.
Must have
- At least 3 years of experience building and supporting of ElasticSearch/OpenSearch.
- Knowledge of Continuous Delivery process and tools, testing frameworks, and practices
- Expertise in modernizing legacy applications to modern technologies
- Cloud computing technologies - AWS (Preferred)/Azure AKS/Google Cloud Platform
- Core technologies: RESTful API, messaging frameworks, container-based development (Docker), Relational Database (Oracle), and Event-driven architecture solutions such as Kafka
- Experience with scripting (i.e. JavaScript, Groovy, Python, Bash, etc.) and working from the command line in a Linux environment.
- Experience with data indexing concepts
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and proficient verbal, and written communication skills.
