We are Polish-American company providing talented developers to American clients. We are in need to fire a fortran developer for a long-tem project. This is 100% remote position. You will be working on large oil and gas application, We offer $25 an hour and billing hour of 160 a month, which comes to $4000 a month or $50,000 a year. We already have developer working for this client for last couple years. This is an open contract and will last for years.

Enhance and support a large, complicated legacy Fortran program that provides technical computations utilized by engineers to design, operate and maintain oil and gas wells. The Fortran program reads information entered by the user in a C++ program, runs the specified simulation and then sends the results to a C# plotting program. Original developer is on staff to support the learning curve for the new programmer.
The technical code involves developing routines for solving algebraic equations, iterative solutions to non-linear equations, ordinary differential equations and integral equations. Both steady state and dynamic applications are evaluated in the program. Determining the logic to generate solutions is a team effort involving an applications engineer, original code developer and the new programmer. In addition, we are looking at projects for parallel computing, interactive computations, cloud deployment, cloud support and possibly completing a project to convert Fortran to C. Experience with Visual Studios, Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), GIT Repository and C Language are not essential but would be beneficial.
