PROJECT
We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer with experience in cloud technologies to join our client's team and help to develop a robust backend infrastructure for Bazel remote execution.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a highly scalable and reliable backend system that runs in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various backend languages, cloud computing services, databases, and APIs, along with a proven track record of designing and delivering complex backend systems.

Our client's mission is to shape a world with a significantly reduced number of road accidents, fatalities, and injuries.

YOU WILL

• Design, develop, and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure backend infrastructure for our client's Bazel remote execution solution in the cloud
• Lead the design and implementation of new features and improvements, ensuring they align with business objectives and user needs
• Collaborate with Frontend Developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience
• Develop and maintain APIs for frontend integration, ensuring efficient communication between frontend and backend systems
• Implement robust security protocols and procedures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
• Leverage cloud computing services for system scalability, load balancing, and disaster recovery
• Conduct performance tests and optimize systems as necessary, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal latency
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve overall code quality
• Collaborate with other team members in an Agile development environment
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies, integrating them into operations and activities as appropriate

MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• About 8 years of experience as a Backend Developer
• Proven experience as a Senior Backend Developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your skills and expertise
• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js
• Experience with the Bazel build system and remote execution is a strong plus
• Knowledge of one of the popular cloud computing services (like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and experience implementing scalable solutions in the cloud
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience developing APIs for frontend integration
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL or NoSQL
• Knowledge of security protocols and data protection measures
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and thoroughly
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in understandable terms
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing development teams
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
