PROJECT
As FOSS Manager, you will be responsible for managing our client's Free and Open Source Software program.

YOU WILL

• Govern the open source management within a project/platform/program
• Address analysis of open-source usage and license compliance checks
• Be responsible for proper documentation of the open source and its used version in the project/platform/program
• Support the SW Architect and Cyber Security Team through vulnerability analysis
• Be responsible that open source and license analysis are provided to customers/stakeholders in a proper format
• Serve as an interface to the customer/stakeholder in terms of open source issues during project/platform/program development
• Support Project/Platform/Program Team with the definition of open source/license usage
• Be responsible for legal check of licenses with the support of the legal department

MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• Typically 5+ years of experience in managing FOSS programs, preferably in the automotive industry
• Deep understanding of open-source software licensing and compliance requirements
• Experience in creating and maintaining policies, processes and procedures related to FOSS management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of copyright law and the ability to manage copyright topics related to software products
• Familiarity with FOSS tools and processes, such as scanning tools, compliance management systems, and license management databases
• Ability to plan and coordinate FOSS activities across multiple projects and teams
• Ability to make decisions about the usage of open-source software based on legal, technical and business considerations
