About the role
As a Lead Node.js Developer you will be responsible for the technical architecture and development of backend services at YND. You will be joining a team of frontend and backend engineers, QAs, designers and product owners who believe in making great products and have all the technical skills to make it happen. If you're the kind of person who wants to challenge the status quo rather than accept it, you'll do great here. Your responsibilities will also include:
Being a technical lead of a team developing applications using Agile methodologies
Designing, coding, testing and operating Node.js based services
Ensuring your solutions can be smoothly deployed and verified
Working out best team engineering standards & practices
Contributing to the team and organizational improvements around tools, processes and practices
Sharing knowledge among team members & company peers
Expectations
Must have
6+ years of commercial software development experience, 4+ of which in Node.js
Ability and interest in leading team development efforts
Good grasp of system & API design using modern approaches & techniques
Good knowledge of Docker & relational databases
Interest in & knowledge of modern Node.js libraries, tools & approaches
Self-starter, ability to follow through from the initial concept to getting the app deployed
Excellent communication skills
Well organised, strong attention to detail
Fluent English
Nice to have
Knowledge of infrastructure-related topics
Experience with frontend development
