About the role

You own the complete UX lifecycle of a Synthetic team. This team develops synthetic tests that help our customers monitor how fast their pages load. Do you like waiting for content to load? Neither does the Synthetic team. Together with The PM and developers that are on-site, you will try to understand the problem and proposed the best solution. Do user tests, talk to customers, and work with analytics. Create Information architecture, and user flows and then wireframes and story maps on whiteboards and paper. With the synthetic team, you will never be bored :) 

Desired skills & experience:

People-focused design mindset

5+ years of experience in a similar position in a product company

Experience with an Agile/lean team framework and the ability to deliver real value to the product

Experience in all phases of the development and design process as one of the three major contributors: PM-DEV-UX (end-to-end product design).

Experience with facilitating workshops with developers and stakeholders using tools such as design studios or design sprints.

Willingness to constantly look for ways to refine designs through user feedback (both hands-on user research or A/B testing)

Ability to easily articulate product design decisions in English (both written and spoken)

You’ll be responsible for: 

Thriving in a product environment that requires strong analytical skills, independent self-direction, and an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication

Taking ownership of the user experience of the topic your development team is responsible for

Taking part in all phases of the development and design process (from understanding the problem, to finding, validating, and implementing the solution, to releasing and analyzing market response) as one of the three major contributors: PM-DEV-UX

Planning with the team, deciding which stories/tasks require your support or review, flagging them accordingly, conducting UX research, analyzing the competition, benchmarking and testing your solutions

Building your solutions using the Dynatrace design system (Barista), and helping with maintaining the design system

Acting as a UX advocate by showcasing outstanding UX principles and practices to the solutions you design for Dynatrace
