FULL TIME FOR THE LOCATION: VIENNA, WARSAW, LUBLIN OR HYBRID
Scope of responsibilities
· Write, improve, or refactor PL/pgSQL procedures, functions, and other queries
· Create and update data manipulation and automation using shell scripts and other tools
· Write, improve, or refactor data model upgrade tools, execute and control upgrades
· Review production database performance issues
· Identify and address problematic database development patterns
· Provide routine guidance to development teams for best practices
· Interact with on-prem and Microsoft Azure cloud database resources
· Maintain the production databases and provide 24/7 support
Typical working day
· Creating and managing databases for a company or organization
· Designing and building databases to suit a purpose
· Installing and configuring the database
· Taking care of the databases and making sure that they function properly
The technologies we use
Debian OS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, REDIS, Apache Kafka, Azure Cloud, OpenStack, Ansible, JavaScript, Bash, Terraform, Docker + Kubernetes, Influxdb, Grafana, Telegraf, HBase, AWS and many other technologies.
What we are looking for
· 4+ years of experience
· Graduate in computer science or related degree
· Expert knowledge of Linux OS (Debian family)
· Experience with PostgreSQL 12+, MySQL 5.7 or 8.0, PostgreSQL FWD, PL/pgSQL and ANSI SQL, Streaming Replication
· Experience with OpenStack/VMware and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
· Good written/spoken English
Nice to have
· In-depth knowledge and experience in some of the listed technologies
· Knowledge of Prometheus, ElasticStack
· Docker and Kubernetes experience is valuable for us
