Responsibilities
- Works as a member of a development team on delivering high-quality software
- Leads testing efforts and takes responsibility for people and processes ensuring expected test coverage and test quality
- Is involved in all areas of Quality Assurance: processes, test plan and test case creation, bug tracking life cycle, and both manual and automated functional testing
- Designs and implements automated tests for both GUI and back-end, based on an excellent understanding of business requirements and system workflow
- Participates in initiatives that focus on enhancing testing automation in the project
- Drives adoption of new testing approaches
- Thinks from a customer perspective and creatively solves real user problems
- Collects and analyses test results and quality metrics to identify potential gaps and recommends corrective action
- Works closely with other leaders and managers to produce high-quality product
Must have
- Strong experience creating and executing detailed manual and automated test cases/scripts, and test plans
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks (eg. Geb, Spock, Jasmine), Groovy, Java, Jenkins
- Proven interpersonal, analytical, attention to detail/strategy, and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expert capacity for comprehending complex concepts and systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong experience with all aspects of testing including Functional, Integration, Regression, Performance, User Acceptance and Penetration Testing
- Ability to map test cases to business requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend business requirements and high-level design deliverables well enough to create detailed test cases
- Strong experience in back-end testing, relational databases, and developing SQL queries to interact with databases desired
