We are looking for an Infrastructure Solution/Systems Support Engineer to configure and install all systems in relation to the support of external customers, development groups and internal delivery and product development groups. You will also provide technical support for the same and assist in the evaluation of new technologies, design, benchmarking, testing and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Systems setup from hardware and 3rd party software perspective including database and application servers
- Configuration, deployment, support, maintenance, troubleshooting of implemented solutions utilizing: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, VMware, Windows Server
- Automate tasks with available tools and scripting languages
- Provide on call rotational mission-critical support
- Aid in development and review of training materials for new and existing technology
- Implement / manage change control procedures
Qualifications
- Very good knowledge and experience of Linux operating system (Red Hat or CentOS preferred but not mandatory)
- Proven experience with virtualized environments
- Good knowledge and experience of ansible and puppet automation/configuration management tools
- knowledge of IBM/Lenovo and Red Hat products and solutions
- experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Development) processes, workflows and implementations with use of the following: ansible, puppet, git, jenkins, nexus
- experience with containers & containerization
