The Software Quality Engineer is a pivotal role in the organization ensuring the highest quality of software delivery in the travel industry. Our product is a highly complex, challenging, and dynamic area, the cornerstone of all travel bookings for airfare.
This position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of our business including fare rules, system complexity, and data filings as well as how airline and travel network customers are using our system. Test automation is our main goal.
You will
- Create appropriate test scenarios based on software specification
- Design, create, execute and maintain automated tests
- Develop and execute software test plans
- Document detailed steps to reproduce a defect
- Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action
- Consult with development engineers and business analysts to resolve problems
- Attend status meetings and provide oral and written reports regarding work progress
- Take part in researching best practices, new tools, and technology
Must have
- 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance area
- Knowledge of Python (or any other scripting language)
- Knowledge of XML/JSON/XPath/Regular expressions
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools such as JIRA
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good English communication skills, written and verbal
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of a testing domain
- Experience in back-end system testing
- Experience in test automation tools
- Experience in Airline or Travel Industry
- Knowledge of GIT (or another version control tool)
