We're looking for a Manual QA for a company that is a horizontal data player across all of logistics visibility that predicts the future arrival time of container shipments. It solves the problems around logistics data reliability and past-looking track-and-trace.
As part of our team, you will be the first QA team member to join the company and your role will be to ensure that our product is amazing? for customers as the client rapidly iterate and build this rocket ship ? As part of this role, you will be setting up test case management system and then will start to create and structure tests in a methodical way for the application. You will work directly with the software engineering team and the company’s leadership across multiple functions to ensure alignment across company, customer and technical priorities. You will also be running both functional and exploratory tests of the app on a daily basis to ensure that the code we push out meets the company standard for product excellence.
Ideal candidate profile:
✔ 4+ years working as a manual QA
✔ Experience running various sorts of tests focused (but not limited to) heavily on 1) exploratory testing, 2) regression testing, and 3) smoke testing
✔ Experience working with test case management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr
✔ Experience writing concise and modular test cases that other QA team members can easily follow and that can ultimately be converted into automated end-to-end tests (to allow you, the manual QA, to focus on more important features)
✔ Ability to clearly and concisely document bugs, including replication steps that are easy for developers to follow and understand
✔ Ability to assess the severity of bugs and issues in an application
✔ Experience working within engineering project management systems such as Jira or Pivotal Tracker
✔ Ability to work independently in a remote environment
✔ Ability to clearly communicate in written and spoken English and be involved in team stand-ups and other sprint ceremonies
✔ Ability to develop a strong sense of business impact and severity of a given bug or issue
Nice to have:
✔Experience working on automated end-to-end testing in tools like Cypress
✔Experience using point-and-click solutions (e.g., Waldo, RainforestQA)
✔Experience tooling such as Postman to test APIs
✔Ability to run queries against databases to validate and review data
✔Experience working for a startup
