On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Head of Data Analytics who is eager to combine the ability to solve ad-hoc queries and build the future of data operations as a company area and as a team.
As a Head of Data Analytics you will :
- Build data area, team, and competencies effectively delivering data-driven value
- Build predictive metrics to identify what best drives GMV
- Document and communicate findings and insights to stakeholders
- Be involved in creating business solutions, and your recommendations will help shape them
- Proactively investigate our data to provide insights beyond what stakeholders require
- Work with stakeholders to build dashboards for all core business metrics
- Provide ad hoc support for stakeholders of pulling data for quick reports
- Take part in the optimization of databases and setting up the analytical infrastructure
Requirements:
- Experience with the business needs of an e-commerce related organization
- Passion for keeping up with industry news trends with the ability to quickly assess available opportunities
- Significant experience in data analysis and concluding it
- Experience delivering end-to-end analytics projects: taking them from vague requirements, through planning the analysis, to providing understandable recommendations and conclusions to the business recipients
- Team building experience with an ability to build an environment for people to thrive
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, including infrastructure teams
- Use internal and external analytics tools (e.g., APIs), SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Python) to access and analyze data from multiple sources
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, design, modeling, and data engineering
- Statistical knowledge for building predictive models
- Experience programming in SQL for complex querying, analysis, and performance optimization
- Excellent data visualization skills
- Participation in planning sessions, team events, etc. at the company’s headquarters when you feel it is needed and productive
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Practical presentation skills across a diverse audience
Nice to have:
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Background in Kotlin and/or Python and/or R
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform offering and/or BigQuery
- Experience with tools like Data Studio, Grafana, Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot, MicroStrategy, etc
