On behalf of the client, we are looking for a Junior Platform Engineer who is highly motivated to grow their knowledge in AI and Machine Learning. The company has offices in the US, Japan, and Poland. The company is building a highly innovative solution that automates the Machine Learning pipeline. Thanks to their product, everyone can work as a Data Scientist, even without any relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a robust, scalable and flexible data platform that is deployed both on-premises and in a variety of cloud environments
- You will contribute to the development of software for supporting customers’ installation, upgrade, recovery from node failure, node scaling, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Help us measure and improve reliability and performance of the data platform by working with product owners and engineering teams.
Job requirements
Technical:
- Experience in public clouds (mostly AWS/Azure)
- Experience in programming in Python
- Experience in IaC(Infrastructure as Code) tools like Ansible/Terraform
- Experience in containers/container orchestration systems (Docker/Kubernetes)
Preferred:
- Experience in data platform software like Spark/Hadoop
- Experience in other build and automation tools such as Jenkins and Packer
- Experience in developing analytics, machine learning, distributed computing, and/or Big Data platforms
Non-technical:
- You have passion to support our customers in achieving their goals, even if it requires wearing multiple hats,
- You love learning, and are not afraid to jump into something with which you have no prior experience and fill in the blanks,
- You work collaboratively with multicultural engineering teams around the globe,
- You should be a team player,
- Good knowledge of English and Polish (both spoken and written)
