Career Karma, San Francisco based start-up, is looking for QA Engineers to contribute to our next evolution of growth.
You will define technical solutions that level up the product and your team and collaborate closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers and designers.
Skills you'll need to bring:
- 3+ years of experience as a manual QA Engineer
- Strong understanding of the QA processes
- Excellent communication, along with good command of spoken and written English
- Experience in functional, integration, compatibility testing
- Profound experience in QA documentation & artifacts
- Knowledge of client-server architecture
- the levels of client-server architecture;
- Database tools experience
- types of Protocols;
- HTTP methods;
- API.
- Experience in Agile software development, task management, and tracking tools
- Good estimation skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- A big plus:
- API testing;
- Knowledge in GraphQL;
- A/B testing;
- Understanding of CI/CD process principles.
Please note, we don't expect you to be an expert in all of those, but we do expect you to be willing and capable to learn quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Work in cross-functional squads and collaborate with Product Managers, Devs, and Designers
- Analyze business, functional and non-functional requirements
- Design test cases and checklists
- Perform manual regression, functional, acceptance, and API testing for web and mobile applications
- Analyze and constantly improve test coverage and QA process
- Report on QA process and metrics to QA Manager
- Ensure efficient cross-team communication
- Drive process improvements within each of the teams that you work with and may take on quality improvement projects that impact the larger organization
- Support other QA Engineers
