CUSTOMER
Our Customer is a Seattle-based company named SkyKick. Helping IT providers be more successful in the cloud, SkyKick plays an important role in the Microsoft cosmos. Over 20,000 IT partners in over 125 countries are accelerating their cloud businesses with our client SkyKick.
PROJECT
The project is a Microsoft Office 365 backup solution. It gives partners a powerful backup tool for key productivity assets used by small businesses – including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive and the latest collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
One of the main challenges is that development activities of the product will be done in parallel by a US team.
The customer also expects technical- and process-wise ideas and best practices from our team. Thus, this project is full of opportunities to brainstorm, discuss pros and cons, define ways of resolving technical challenges with their following implementation in practice.
The team on Sigma Software’s side is expected to include 5 people: 1 Senior Developer/Team Lead, 1 Middle Developer, 1 Junior Developer, 1 Test Automation Engineer, 1 Project Manager.
We are following a Scrum-based process and you should expect daily status meetings with the customer.
Technologies: C#, .NET Core, MS Azure, Entity Framework Core, Docker, Kubernetes
REQUIREMENTS
At least 1 year of experience in commercial software development in .NET development
Good knowledge of C# programming language and .NET platform (.NET Framework 4.x, .NET Core)
Knowledge of Angular (or any other Front-end framework with willingness to switch to Angular) will be a big plus
Solid knowledge and proper usage of Object-Oriented Programming and Design
Familiar with the unit testing purpose and mechanism, unit test frameworks and tools
Experience in database design and development, SQL Server
Experience in Agile software development processes (Scrum, Kanban)
At least Intermediate level of English. Upper-Intermediate is preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform the development of new features and enhancements
Code, debug, document, and maintain software components
Participate in peer code and design reviews
Perform unit and integration testing
Promote good design principles such as code reuse, modularity, and extensibility
Contribute to development of technical project documentation
Provide assistance to QA engineers and support personnel in solving technical issues of software installation and its operation
Participate in conference calls with the US Customer
Be an active participant of Scrum meetings such as daily stand-up, demo, planning, retro, grooming, etc.
Report status and progress according to the project demands
