Position Summary


Infor is looking for DevOps Engineers to join the Infor Data Engine development team. The Infor Data Engine will be a managed Data Warehouse as a Service component in the Cloud. Such a service will provide large volume data warehousing capabilities in the cloud for eventual consumption by the other Infor Cloud Suites. This will be achieved by exposing various existing database technologies (SQL Server, Redshift, Snowflake etc.) in a managed, secure and symmetrical way.

 
Key Responsibilities

As a DevOps engineer, you’re responsible for getting the software from the development team to the customers within the Infor Cloud as discrete releases. You will participate in designing and performing zero downtime upgrades and monitoring development and production systems. You will work within a multidisciplinary agile development team in close collaboration with other skilled software engineers, QA engineers, architects and business analysts. You determine your daily tasks in coordination with these colleagues rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you. You will be involved in all aspects of software development and have room to grow professionally.

 
Key Requirements/Experience

• Experienced DevOps engineer or someone who can demonstrate the key disciplines and drive
• Analytical, accurate and result driven
• Good communication skills (written and oral) in English
• Proactive problem solver
• Experience with and enjoys working within an international agile development environment
• BSc or MSc technical degree, preferably Computer Science or other technical education

Skills:

• Experienced (1+ years) in scripting of some sort – preferably under a Linux OS
• Considers and treats testing as intrinsically part of their work
• Knowledge of one or more of the following:
• Experienced (1+ years) working in Agile or Scrum teams
• Database development using SQL
• Amazon Web Services
• Docker (or other container platform) or Kubernetes
• SQL Server
• General Cloud Experience
