Our Solid Potential team is looking for an excellent candidate to fill in a Consultant position: Senior SRE.
Solid Potential is a consulting company providing advice and creating cutting edge solutions for building and maintaining enterprise scale cloud environments.
We're currently on a hunt for SRE Consultant for our customer in the retail industry.
As part of the offered position, you will work in the SRE team responsible for increasing the availability of services and invent ways to raise the SLO metrics. You will be responsible for building an effective monitoring system, implementation of technologies enabling automation, troubleshooting an existing system, testing and deployment process, selecting optimal solutions, technologies enabling automation, and implementing services ensuring high availability and security.
Main responsibilities:
β To be a part of customers team, responsible for improving efficiency of existing solutions and offering new designs and expertise;
β Ability to learn fast;
β Working with GCP hosted systems;
β Active participation in full development lifecycle on an Agile team (code reviews, architecture reviews, security approvals, release processes)
Key requirements:
β Tax residence: Poland or United Kingdom;
β Knowledge of SRE metrics;
β Expertise with Kubernetes and Istio;
β Expertise in troubleshooting existing projects (java thread dump investigation, load balancers and traffic shaping, networking, DNS configuration);
β Expertise creating infrastructure as a code (eg Terraform, Pulumi);
β Programming experience in Java or Python.
β Knowledge of at least one cloud provider preferable Google Cloud as products are hosted on GCP.
β Expertise working with CI/CD processes;
β Knowledge of English (at least B2 level);
β Willingness to work in a dynamic consulting environment.
