Project
We’re seeking highly motivated individuals to take the lead on designing an in-vehicle technology stack (Middleware & OS) & cloud-native DevOps Platform to enable Smart Vehicle Architecture. As a Software Engineer, you will turn the roadmap into reality by working with software architects to create a scalable and efficient product. A qualified software engineer can navigate difficult technical tradeoffs by weighing product priorities and introducing creative solutions.

You will

• Present materials and concepts to the team and technical leaders
• Document work on a daily bases (i.e. UML diagrams, technical problems/solutions description)
• Define, evaluate, investigate, and prototype technologies and solutions
• Develop tools and prototype concepts in Python
• Develop applications and services using modern C++
• Organize and supervise activities in assigned projects
• Lead technical innovations
• Take responsibility & give directions on the execution of standards and processes
• Represent the project in front of customers for technical discussions
• Lead and mentor technical problems solving activities as the Subject Matter Expert in the field
• Monitor industry-related technologies and market available solutions to apply them in projects

Must have

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software ideally from the automotive industry
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable
• Strong knowledge of C++
• Familiarity with Python
• Experience with software design (OOD), design patterns, and design principles (SOLID)
• Experience in one of the following OSes: VxWorks/QNX/Linux Embedded
• Knowledge of DDS/CORBA/gRPC/Apache Thrift
• Good understanding of agile/scrum, unit testing, and code reviews, version control tools (Git/Gerrit), Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery systems, Build systems (e.g. Yocto, Make, CMake), Software engineering tools (Jira, Confluence, Polarion)
• Knowledge in networking – TCP/IP
• Knowledge of scrum and agile
• Nice to haves (preferred qualifications):
• Knowledge of automotive networking protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, etc.)
• Experience with the open-source repository on GitHub or technology blog
