Project
As a Senior Service Engineer you will be working closely with our operations teams in Munich, responsible for delivering and supporting mission critical applications and infrastructure of our global enterprise customers.
You will
- Handle Incidents and Changes of 24x7x365 mission-critical infrastructure
- Work with 3rd level teams to solve incidents
- Analyze and troubleshot incidents by using monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus. etc.
- Plan and implement changes and change tasks according to customer schedules and requirements
- Optimize support procedures
- Maintain technical documents like HowTos, Runbooks, Solutions for internal and external audience
- Hold training and knowhow transfer sessions
- Act in a leading role for a (small) team of service engineers
Must have
- Computer Science, Software Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in IT support and service delivery
- Excellent knowledge of Linux in distributed environments like microservice architectures
- Deep expertise in scripting languages like Shell, Python or Perl. Golang would be great, too.
- Excellent networking know how: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS
- Good knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure or GCE, Openshift as a plus
- Experience in monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana/ELK Stack
- Proficient with Confluence, JIRA, and other collaboration tools
- Focused on customer satisfaction
- Strong knowledge of ITSM processes, esp. incident and change management
- Confident handling of ITSM tools, preferably BMC Remedy
- ITIL foundation certifcate
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Willingness to work on weekend and / or late shifts
- Fluency in English, German would be nice to have
